Welcome

People seek therapy for a variety of reasons and at various times throughout their life. The decision to see a therapist might be centered around a recent crisis that is causing emotional stress, a desire to address long-standing problems in living or simply a wish to make a change in one’s life. Whatever the reason, I see psychotherapy as an opportunity for you to get to know yourself (and those around you) more fully and work towards leading a more meaningful life.

I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, which means working together in a way that allows us to gain a deeper understanding into some of the underlying factors that may be giving rise to some of your struggles. I see the therapeutic relationship as a tool for identifying unhelpful patterns & themes that people sometimes unknowingly repeat. Therapy is also a way of helping you feel more free to make your own choices.

I see people from diverse backgrounds. I particularly specialize in working with people who are dealing with the effects of trauma. I am committed to providing a safe environment so that we can think and talk about the things that matter to you most.
